December Mock Review - Amanath

6) Turning your attention to Section B, write a definition and example of user-generated content - use the mark scheme to check it.

7) Look at Q4 - the 20-mark essay on the power of influencers. Pick out three points from the mark scheme that you didn't include in your own answer. 

8) Now look at Q5 - the 20-mark essay on regulation and the internet. Again, pick out three points from the mark scheme that you didn't include in your own answer.

9) On a scale of 1-10 (1 = low, 10 = high), how much revision and preparation did you do for your Media mock exam? Be honest here - it's a good chance to think about how to approach the next set of mock exams.

Statement of Intent - Magazine Cover

 How will you use media language and media representations in order to create your product and

meet the requirements of the brief and the needs of the target audience? (Maximum 300 words.)

The title is Gentlemen Movement. The front of the magazine shows the first South Asian  manager. Its selling price is £5.99 and the date of it is on Sunday 14th Feb. 2024. The Main thing he will talk about is how he become an Asian manager and his journey and he teaches football. He will show the people that anything is possible if you try. The design of the magazine emphasises on the colour blue which encodes for the concept of calmness and peace; echoing the idea that "all is well that ends well".

The bigger picture is that my model is representing an Ethnic Minority group. This battles the stereotype that typically most football managers/ senior staff are from a White background. His journey is very unstable due to the hardships that he faced. In the interview, he talks about his deep rooted attachment to items from his childhood that hold great sentiment to him. His house is a 6-bedroom mansion in Sutton, London. We also spoke about any incidences he wanted to share and he spoke about when he was racially profiled at the Greenford FC vs Central FC football semi-final match. He spoke about the impact this had on his mental health which became an obstacle for him to excel in his career. Furthermore, we spoke about his likes and dislikes and he told us he is very fond of designer scents and masculine colognes.

  1. The central image was a long that of the ruby player. this connotes to the concept of strength as the player is shaming he is determined and focused.

The slogan was written is san sent font and was in the cooler whet. this connotes to a blond and modem concept which links to the passion the colour white is the same as the lighting the lightning used are floodlights which makes the underarm our logo stand out this also happens to the contrast diner setting.
  3. They she's were red/white/green -this could agreeably show refection of the welsh cools.

BLACKPINK fans are known as ‘Blinks’ and are largely teenage girls and young women. Their fans are worldwide but they are particularly big in the Philippines and Indonesia as well as western countries such as the UK and USA.

2) What audience pleasures are offered by the music video for How You Like That?

 performance, effects, fast pace etc.
Personal relationships: Fan interaction online through social media is a key element of K-pop’s global success. Fans feel like they ‘know’ the band members.

- Intertextuality is when one media text references another media text – through genre, conventions, mise-en-scene or specific cultural references.

-MTV was launched in 1981 because lot of money was spent on producing innovative and creating music videos

-The launch of YouTube in 2005 changed the way consumers access and enjoy music videos. Self-promotion is becoming more common these days.The rise of new digital media has paved the way for bands like One Direction to be “produced” by the industry and increasingly promoted through social media convergence to maximise record company profits.
